Sophia, not a celebrity but a robot created by the founder of Hanson Robotics, Dr. David Hanson. Sophia is going to be a breathtaking invention of science and is going to be the most compelling and engaging human like robots with terrific human wisdom. The maker is hoping that the robot would be capable of developing a deep, trusted relationship with people.
You would certainly be thinking of terminator robots but Sophia is not like those you see in your screens. Sophia certainly appears trustworthy enough at least in most ways. After all, Hanson and his team embedded her to serve in health care, therapy, education, and customer service jobs.
So move out, humans Sophia and her friends are here to destroy, not you your diseases.
