Zambia's efforts for ozone layer recognized by ZEMA

Zambia's efforts on protecting the ozone layer have been recognized by the Zambia Environmental Management Agency(ZEMA). The ozone layer that is located in the stratosphere filters out all the harmful sun rays before they can reach the Earth.

The ultraviolet radiations of sun are harmful for living things. However, because of the global climate changes the ozone layer has got affected. The ozone depletion was first found in 1980. Through the plan of reducing the consumption of CFC's Zambia consumes zero CFC's, now the authorities are thinking of bringing a ban to methybromide. Till 2030, they will be able to achieve their goal.
