In the meanwhile, the research carried out by IBIS world shows that revenues spent on internet dating sites appear to increase enormously. Christian Rudder, a founder of internet dating site OKCupid analyzed that dating agencies like Match.com and OKCupid has expense of £30m ($50m) in 2011.
The reason to such a great expense explained is collecting the large amount of data and saving in a large database. The companies collect the information from all users; around 400 questions asked from each member in order to find a perfect match for them, it makes over 70 terabytes of data. Undoubtedly, deploying the big data analytics helps the agencies find the perfect match and satisfy the cutomers in an efficient way but in the meanwhile, US internet dating sites revenues reach £1.2bn ($2bn) annually.
