. It has been said that due to lack of Vitamin D, men are at higher risk of developing the deadly form of this disease. Dr. Adam Murphy, a lead scientist from Northwestern University, said that Vitamin D deficiency can produce advanced prostate tumor in large segments. After examining the data from the wide-ranging group of over 1000 men, he also said that though more research is required but it would be wise for men if they get treated and screened for Vitamin D deficiency. According to Dr. Murphy, Vitamin D deficiency is more severe and common in the people with darker skin and it can be a contributor to prostate cancer; you can get a better idea after analyzing the key statistics. Summarizing the results, it has been suggested that the men should check their levels of Vitamin D on yearly basis; if anyone of the men is deficient, he should make a proper diet plan and make use of the supplements and other therapies.
