Beech Mountain
Resort is a continual resort at more than 5,500 feet and equipped with 15
trails and two landscape parks. Throughout the winter time, the resort has a
7,000-square-foot outdoor rink in its Beech Tree Village, delimited by a walkway,
coffee shop, snack shack and bar and grill. Skate sessions last two hours and contain
skate rentals. Children age 4 and below skate without charge while with an
adult. Sugar Mountain Resort is in the close by town of Banner Elk, habitat to
20 slopes and 115 acres reticent for skiing and snowboarding. Nestled among a
parking lot and tubing park is a 10,000-square-foot ice rink. The outdoor site
offers 90-minute skating sessions and has skates and walkers for toddlers accessible
for rent.
