Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area
Covering more than 70,000
acres, the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area straddles the border linking
New Jersey and Pennsylvania and includes a fabulous 40-mile confined broadens of the Delaware River.
This great relaxation area is reachable at numerous points, with the New Jersey
section being serviced by two tourist centers: Millbrook Village, an amusement of a 19th-century area with
displays of conventional crafts; and the Kittatinny Point Visitor Center, with abundant exhibits, splendid views, and an
access spot for the Appalachian Trail. Other park places of interest include the Minisink Archaeological Site, where miscellany from a 10,000-year-old
settlement were originate, as well as activities such as canoeing, kayaking,
swimming, fishing, and camping.
